🎨 How to color it

Color the dragon spring green, the crown rich gold with ruby-red diamonds, and the cave crystals pale blue beside warm copper coins. Use sharp colored pencils for the crown’s small jewels, scale shapes, coin stacks, and dangling stalactites so the details stay crisp. Try a soft violet shadow deep in the cave opening to make the green dragon and golden crown feel warmly lit.

Under the old dripstone arch, Soren pressed both paws over his ears. Plink. Plonk. Plink. The cave roof had dripped all morning onto his favorite flat rock, and he wanted the little silver bell from the crown pile to ring louder than the drops. He nudged the heavy crown with his nose, but the bell had rolled away into the narrow glitter tunnel where he had never gone alone.

Soren squeezed past cold crystal points. His tail brushed coins with a ching, and one sharp gem nicked a scale. Then a tiny voice said, “Please step softly.” A crystal snail, clear as ice and shining blue inside, was carrying the bell on its shell. The drip-drip had been guiding her through the dark.

Soren swallowed his roar and walked beside her, slow as moonlight. When they reached his flat rock, she tapped the bell once: ting. The drops answered: plink, ting, plonk, ting. Soren smiled and set the crown around the sound, not over it. Next time you see his claw near the jewels, listen for the brave little plink under the old dripstone arch.
