Across the bouncy garden hills, Pip raced with a leaf cup in both hands, scooping up petals the wind had shaken loose. Pink plip, yellow pat, white whisper—each one landed soft as a kitten’s paw. Pip wanted to tuck them around Earth before the sun climbed high, then dash away before anyone saw. “Just a little morning surprise,” Pip puffed, smelling grass and warm dirt.
At the round hilltop, a butterfly with polka-dot wings dipped beside the cup. Instead of taking nectar, it dropped in one tiny star-shaped seed, bright and dry as toast. Pip laughed and scattered the petals anyway, and the butterfly carried the seed to Earth’s crown, where flowers seemed to wake all at once. The sun blinked gold; a snail lifted both feelers like party horns. Nobody clapped for Pip, which made the secret feel bigger. If you peek at the hill, can you spot who helped carry the surprise into the sky?
