Under the hilltop observatory, Lumi pressed silver paper around a cardboard tube. She wanted her paper moon to shine when the roof opened, so she rubbed it smooth with her paws. The tube smelled like glue and warm paper. Snip, pat, roll.
When the bell chimed, the young stargazers padded in wearing square caps. Lumi held up her moon tube, ready to hang it near the telescope. Then Professor Moth blinked at it and whispered, “You made the first sky scroll.”
So everyone wrote one brave thing they had tried and tucked the notes inside. Stars rustled overhead like tiny applause. Lumi lifted the scroll high, prouder of the paw-smudges than the shine. If you spot the rolled tube, you’ll know why the paper moon still smells like glue and warm paper.
