🎨 How to color it

Give the reindeer a cocoa brown face, the holly leaves a bright green, the berries a cherry red, and the three bells a sunny gold. Use chunky crayons for the large face, antlers, and bell shapes, and let little hands color right over the bold lines if they want. Try making each star a different bedtime color, like yellow, pink, and soft blue.

In the warm bell nook, Pip rubbed a smooth coat button under his chin. Tap-tap, hush-hush. He wanted it to make one tiny bedtime sound.

Pip stepped past the holly, where snow went crunch, crunch. A baby owl blinked in the dark. “Too bright,” she peeped.

Pip knew a secret: his button was not magic, but it was shiny. He hung it on the owl’s branch to cover the sharp lantern glint. Then the bells on Pip’s collar gave one soft jing. He trotted home without the button, smiling at that hush-hush sound—can you spot his bells keeping the secret?
