🎨 How to color it

Try spring green for the T. rex, lemon yellow for the belly, darker green for the big split leaf, and warm gray for the round rock. Chunky crayons are perfect for the big tummy, tail, and head; it is okay if little hands go over the thick lines. Add two colors to the dinosaur’s spots, like orange and blue, to make them look like secret pebble buttons.

Under the wide leaf, Rori patted his homemade drum. Pat-pat. Too soft! He needed one round pebble button to make it go TUM.

Out he stomped past whispery ferns. Swish, hush. A smooth pebble waited by a big rock, cool as night. Rori pushed it home, but it rolled—bonk!—onto his toes. “Oof!”
