Under a warm sand lip, Finn tapped one bubble, then two, then three. He had invented Bubble-Clue, a game where each bubble had to point to the next, and he wanted to find the last one before the tide hummed home.
Pop, plink, pop! The trail slipped over the lagoon shelf, past tickly coral and a wavy ribbon of sand. A shy crab blocked a dark crack with one claw. “Ticket,” she whispered. Finn gave her one flower from his lei. Inside the crack, bubbles tapped back: one, two, three—then a tiny pearl snail rolled out, drumming on an old bottle cap.
Finn carried the cap home instead of the last bubble. Now Bubble-Clue had a secret drummer, and if you follow the pale bubbles upward, can you guess which one will pop, plink, pop next?
