By the warm tide pool, Nori patted wet sand: pat, pat, pat. She wanted the slow sea to see her castle before splash-time came. A curled shell sat nearby, shut tight and salty-smelling. Nori waited. The sun tickled her nose.
At last, the shell went plink! Out slid a tiny red ribbon. “Shh, secret,” Nori whispered, and tied it to the tallest tower. The sea saw it and waved back. Ever since, sandcastles wear flags; can you spot the shell that kept the secret?
