🎨 How to color it

Color the sandcastle golden tan, the waving flag cherry red, the round sun lemon yellow, and the seashells peach and pink. Use chunky crayons to fill the big towers and sun first; it is perfectly okay if little hands go over the bold lines. Try making each wavy water line a different blue, like tiny stripes of sea around the castle.

By the warm tide pool, Nori patted wet sand: pat, pat, pat. She wanted the slow sea to see her castle before splash-time came. A curled shell sat nearby, shut tight and salty-smelling. Nori waited. The sun tickled her nose.

At last, the shell went plink! Out slid a tiny red ribbon. “Shh, secret,” Nori whispered, and tied it to the tallest tower. The sea saw it and waved back. Ever since, sandcastles wear flags; can you spot the shell that kept the secret?
