🎨 How to color it

Color the coconut shell sandy tan, the plumeria petals soft pink with a yellow center, the palm leaf bright green, and the bendy straw sky blue. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big round coconut, then help little hands slow down around the straw ridges and flower petals. For a playful twist, add a pale turquoise drink inside the rim and tiny white sparkle spots in the coconut’s glossy eyes.

Every day, Lolo rolled coconuts into a neat row at the pier kiosk: bump, bump, bump. He tucked a flower on each rim and listened for the straw wrappers to crinkle like tiny flags. He wanted the noon sailors to find every drink ready and chilly. Until one day, a sand crab popped from the ice bucket wearing a napkin like a cape. “One sip, please!” squeaked the crab.

Because of that, Lolo slid the smallest coconut behind the palm leaves. Because of THAT, the crab called six cousins, and their claws went tik-tik-tik in a thirsty parade. Lolo almost giggled loud enough to get caught, but he poured them each a secret splash. When the sailors arrived, every coconut still stood full—except one, smiling extra wide. If you peek at the flowered coconut, can you spot the secret-splash grin from bump, bump, bump time?
