🎨 How to color it

Color the ghost a soft pearl white, the bow bubblegum pink, the star wand golden yellow, and the tiny bats lavender gray. Use chunky crayons to fill the ghost’s big rounded body first, then tap little dots of color into the stars and cheeks. Try a pale blue night glow around the crescent moon so the pink bow and yellow wand feel extra bright.

The story behind this coloring page

Pippa Hears the Star Wand — Under the moon dome, Pippa floated in slow loops, humming one soft note for every silver star. Read the full story →

Under the moon dome, Pippa floated in slow loops, humming one soft note for every silver star. She wanted the last note to fit the night just right, so she held very still, bow ribbon barely rustling, while bats made tiny peep-peep circles in the cool air. The crescent moon smelled like rain on stone.

A star wand drifted from behind the telescope and tapped once: ting. Pippa opened her eyes. The wand was not asking for a wish; it was answering her hum with the same little note, only brighter. “You heard me?” Pippa whispered. Ting, sang the wand, and the bats settled close as if they had known the song all along. Together they made one quiet chord, and next time you see Pippa’s closed smile, you may hear that last note fit the night just right.
