🎨 How to color it

Color the baby velociraptor mint green, the cracked egg pale cream with sky-blue zigzags, and the flowers sunny yellow and coral pink. The big open shapes are perfect for chunky crayons or markers, and it is okay if little hands go past the lines. Try making the raptor’s shiny eye extra bold by leaving the two white sparkle spots uncolored.

Every day, before the sun warmed the pebble flats, Rumi pressed his nose to his shell and listened. Hummm, hummm—the world sounded far away and green. He wanted to know what made the sweetest hum.

Until one day, his toe tapped a loose shell piece. Crack-click! Because of that, cool air slipped in, smelling like rain and petals. Because of that, Rumi pushed again and found a tiny garden tucked around his egg, where bees sang in flower cups. “Oh,” he whispered, “you were here?” At last he lifted one claw and listened harder, and the hum ran away with his curiosity. Can you find the little blossoms that were hiding with Rumi all along?
