Under the windy ridge, Bram slapped wet clay into a wobbly star. Plip, pat, press! He wanted a storm-runner badge made by his own claws, so he poked three points, scratched a zigzag, and set it near the warm stones. The clay smelled like rain and dust.
When Bram lifted the star, it rattled. Not thunder—tiny seeds! A rock wren had tucked them in the soft clay before it dried. By sunset, his claws were muddy, his chest was tall, and the ridge had one proud, handmade thunder-star. Can you spot the star that started with plip, pat, press?
