🎨 How to color it

Color the spinosaurus mint green with a peachy belly, make its tall sail coral pink, and give the dragonfly turquoise wings beside deep green lily pads and tan cattails. Use chunky crayons or washable markers for the big dinosaur body and lily pads, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the sail stripes, tiny spots, and dragonfly legs. Try making the pond water light blue with little darker blue ripple rings around each dinosaur foot.

The story behind this coloring page

Fenna Follows the Fizzy Dot — Every day, Fenna padded through the lily pond before lunch, sniffing cattails and tapping one toe in each cool ripple. Read the full story →

Every day, Fenna padded through the lily pond before lunch, sniffing cattails and tapping one toe in each cool ripple. She wanted to find the source of the tiny plip-plip sounds that tickled her ears. Until one day, a silver bubble popped under her nose and a dragonfly in striped socks zipped out, smelling like wet leaves and trouble. “Follow the fizzy dot!” it squeaked.

Because of that, Fenna splashed after the bubble around lily pads, making frogs burp in surprise. Because of THAT, the dragonfly landed on a leaf and bowed like a pond king, while the bubble split into ten wobbling dots. Fenna giggled so hard her sail shook. At last, she blew one gentle snort, and all the dots became a crown of ripples. Next time you spot the dragonfly waiting on the lily pad, can you guess which fizzy dot will run away first?
