🎨 How to color it

Color the dragon fruit skin hot pink, the leafy sprout and corner monstera leaves bright green, and the seed-filled half creamy white with tiny black seeds. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big peel flames and leaves, then let a grown-up help dot the little seeds if needed. Try making the cheek ovals peachy pink so the happy face glows against a cool teal bubble background.

The story behind this coloring page

Zadie’s Sprout-Crown Secret — Under the jungle leaves, Zadie tapped a peel-flap drum: pap-pap, secret game time. Read the full story →

Under the jungle leaves, Zadie tapped a peel-flap drum: pap-pap, secret game time. She wanted to make the first sprout crown with her own little hands, but her vine tent had no shiny dew-thread to tie it.

So Zadie waddled past the tickly moss stones to the bubble pool. Plip! A bubble popped on her nose, and she paid one pink peel curl to the pool snail for a strand of dew-thread. “Fair trade,” whispered the snail.

Back home, Zadie twisted leaves, tied knots, and tucked the crown on top. It leaned. It wiggled. It stayed! Next time you spot her crown, keep the secret: it began with pap-pap, secret game time.
