🎨 How to color it

Color the whale sky blue with pale pink cheeks, make the bubbles light aqua, and give the smiling starfish a sunny yellow. Use chunky crayons or markers for the whale’s big round body, then switch to a crayon tip for the small bubbles and seaweed leaves. Try making the whale’s belly a lighter blue than its back so its curved tummy line pops.

The story behind this coloring page

Pip Meets the Bubble Bandit — Every day, Pip practiced neat little bubbles in the kelp cove: bloop, bloop, bloop. Read the full story →

Every day, Pip practiced neat little bubbles in the kelp cove: bloop, bloop, bloop. He wanted to make one perfect ring before the tide bell clanged, but the seaweed tickled his fins and made him giggle.

Until one day, a starfish popped from the sand wearing a bubble like a hat. “Ta-da!” she squeaked. Because of that, Pip snorted a wobbly bubble that bounced off a shell. Because of THAT, three crabs peeked out and started clapping their claws—clickety-click! Pip felt his tummy flutter, then blew the biggest, silliest ring he could. It floated around the starfish’s hat like a crown. Next time you spot Pip’s smile, can you tell which bubble started the mischief?
