🎨 How to color it

Layer deep teal over the spinosaurus body, burnished orange across the tall sail, olive green on the reeds, and pale blue in the winding pools. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny spirals, scales, and petal bands, moving from the heavy outer silhouette inward so your hand does not blur finished details. Try a warm-to-cool gradient on the sail’s fan ribs, letting the orange near the back fade into violet at the wavy edge.

At first light, Calder stamped through the reed pools and named his new game Wake-Run: leap before the last ring touched the mud, tail high, claws flashing, breath tasting of wet fern and mineral mist. He bounded faster, reading each swirl as a path, each splash as a drumbeat, until the lagoon seemed to race beside him. Then a silver fish broke the surface and made a perfect spiral inside his own, as if it had been playing from below all along. Calder laughed, changed direction, and the water answered; every reed, ripple, and sail-shadow said he was exactly where he belonged.
