🎨 How to color it

Use strawberry pink for the cake roll, vanilla cream for the spiral and dollops, and bright red for the cherry on top. For little hands, chunky crayons can fill the big curved bands first, and going over the black lines is perfectly okay. Try making the spiral switch from light pink to darker pink as it curls inward.

Under the soft moon, Cleo carried a sweet roll slice across the observatory grass. The cream smelled milky, and the cherry bobbed, plip-plop, on top. “This is too much joy for one bite,” Cleo whispered.

A tiny glowbug landed beside the curl. Its light made the spiral shine like a sleepy moon path. Cleo giggled and broke off a crumb. “You saw it too!” The glowbug blinked yes, and the night felt bigger and sweeter. Next time you see that round cherry, imagine the glowbug’s little light saying, share-share, under the soft moon.
