🎨 How to color it

Color the player’s jersey deep navy with silver trim, the basketballs burnt orange, the wheelchair frame charcoal gray, and the court lines bright maple gold. Use sharp colored pencils for the wheel spokes, net diamonds, and jersey edging, then switch to broader strokes on the open court and bleachers. For a playful twist, shade the floating ball with a faint gray motion blur so it looks like a sneaky second shot is hanging in the air.

The story behind this coloring page

The Sneakiest Double Swish — Under the humming lights of the community sports hall, Quinn rolled to his favorite spot and tapped the ball twice: thump, thump. Read the full story →

Under the humming lights of the community sports hall, Quinn rolled to his favorite spot and tapped the ball twice: thump, thump. His challenge was simple and wonderfully silly—send one shot up, catch the rebound, and launch another so fast that the net would say only one swish. The rubber smelled dusty, the wheel rims felt cool under his palms, and the empty bleachers waited like they were holding their breath.

He tried again. The first ball kissed the backboard, the second left his hands, and Quinn whispered, “No tattling, net.” From high above came a tiny plink. Not a whistle. Not a shoe squeak. A popcorn kernel, forgotten by someone in the top row, bounced from a rafter and dropped straight through the hoop before either basketball arrived.

Quinn laughed so hard his wheels wobbled. The balls followed—swish, swish—and the net made three sounds after all. By then the hall felt less empty than mischievous, as if it had been practicing with him. If you find the ball hanging near the hoop, decide whether it is Quinn’s second shot or the sports hall’s sneaky one, still echoing: thump, thump.
