Every evening, Quill tapped his crooked staff on the roots of the owl tree and stirred turnips into soup. Swish, plop, sniff! He wanted supper before the moon climbed high. Until one windy night, he invented Cauldron Dash: every bubble got a name, and Quill had to tap it before it popped.
Because of that, the bubbles bounced out shouting, “Tag!” in tiny wet squeaks. Because of that, bats zigzagged after them, pumpkins rolled like drums, and the owl blinked gold in the smoky air. Quill laughed, spun his staff, and called, “Back to the pot, team!” At last the bubbles dove home, making the soup sparkle. Quill knew the noisy clearing was exactly his place. Next time you see the moon above his hat, can you spot the bubble that started the dash?
