🎨 How to color it

Layer deep bronze on the eagle’s body, emerald green through the woven wing bands, slate blue on the circular knot frame, and antique gold on the corner knots. Use sharp colored pencils and color one ribbon path at a time so the over-under Celtic weaving stays readable. For a subtle twist, shade the small triskele spirals from pale gold at the center to copper at the outer curls.

The story behind this coloring page

Behind the old border hall, where stone smelled of rain and iron, Keir tucked the last bronze dusk-light beneath his tongue. He meant to carry it home and paint one proud streak above his eye. Then, from inside the carved ring on the wall, came a sound like a needle pulling thread through linen.

“Don’t look too closely,” whispered someone no larger than a moth. A river-mender stood there, knotting three loose winds before they unraveled the hall’s whole border. Her lamp had gone out. Keir opened his beak as if to ask payment, but the cold threads shivered against his claws. Quietly, while the rafters creaked, he breathed his bronze light into her lamp and flew off before she could bow.

By morning, every little triple spiral in that hall was turning three ways at once: one curl for the giver, one for the receiver, and one for the gift nobody saw. Ever since, triskeles keep their three secret turns, and at dusk they still hold a hidden bronze light beneath the tongue.
