Every day, Zazzy stretched her neck above the beach umbrellas to count waves: one splash, two splash, three! She wanted a game loud enough for everyone to play, but the gulls only squawked and the crabs only clicked in the warm, salty sand. Until one day, her sunglasses flashed a bright zigzag from the sun to a tiny sailboat. “Zoom!” Zazzy shouted, and invented the Zoom Game on the spot.
Because of that, she pointed her nose at each sparkle on the water. Because of THAT, the beach ball rollers, shell stackers, and umbrella nappers all chased the flashes with happy thumps and whoops. Finally, Zazzy called, “Last zoom goes to everyone!” and tilted her glasses so one giant gleam danced across the whole beach.
