Every evening, Fenna rumbled into the moonlit plaza and played freezer songs for the sleepy shops. Clink-a-link, her chimes sang, and children followed the sweet vanilla smell to her window. Fenna always wished to hear the tiny bell notes after everyone went home, but her engine was too loud.
Until one evening, the chimes stopped. Because of that, Fenna rolled slowly, listening to the hush between her huge tires. Because of THAT, she heard a soft ting-ting from under her seat. “What’s hiding down there?” she whispered.
Finally, she nudged up the cushion and found a little silver scoop with bells tied to its handle. When she hung it by the window, it rang with every quiet breeze. Next time you spot the smiling driver, imagine the tiny ting-ting riding along after the sleepy shops.
