Every evening, Zuzu trotted around the rooftop circle, tap-tap-tapping her paws and calling, “Crown tag!” She wanted one friend to chase her, tap the little crown, and laugh so loudly the pigeons would flutter.
Until one day, the crown flashed with a zing like lemonade bubbles. Because of that, Zuzu dashed faster, and silver sparkles popped over the chimney pots. Because of THAT, pups from three windows barked, “Me next!” until finally Zuzu stopped in the middle, panting and grinning, so everyone could tap the crown together.
