🎨 How to color it

Color the kitten soft cream, the heart tag bubblegum pink, the collar sky blue, and the yarn ball in peach and lavender stripes. Use chunky crayons for the kitten’s big body and ears, then switch to a sharper crayon or pencil for the thin whiskers and yarn lines. Try making the yarn string rainbow-colored as it wiggles across the floor.

Every day, Pip sat in the sunny art studio and guarded the yarn basket while brushes clinked in jars and paper smelled dusty and sweet. He wanted to keep every ball round, tidy, and absolutely not bouncy. Then one day, the peach-and-lavender yarn went squeak.

Because of that, Pip poked it with one paw. Squeak! Because of THAT, he rolled it under the easel, around the stool, and straight through a puddle of glitter glue. “Who’s in there?” Pip whispered. The yarn hiccuped, popped loose, and out slid a tiny wind-up mouse wearing a thimble helmet. It zipped in circles, trailing string like a silly parade. Finally, Pip pinned the string with his tail, licked glitter from his nose, and marched the mouse back to its hiding place. Next time you spot Pip’s neat little paws, can you guess which ball might squeak again?
