🎨 How to color it

Color the monkey’s face in warm sand, its leafy body patterns in jade and olive, the lotus seat in coral pink, and the surrounding vines in deep rainforest green. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny curls, leaf veins, and narrow petal shapes, working from the monkey’s face outward so your hand does not smudge finished sections. For extra energy, make the lotus leaves shift from teal at the center to emerald at the outer points while keeping the monkey’s eyes bright amber.

The story behind this coloring page

Every day before sunrise, Nico sat in the riverbend banyan and caught the first echoes in his cupped hands: wing-flick, leaf-drip, beetle-click. He kept them close, building a secret rhythm under his breath while the air smelled of wet bark and green figs—until one day a firefly courier burst through the vines, glowing like a tossed ember, and crashed into his lap.

“Quick,” she flashed, “the festival drums have gone silent!” Because of that, Nico opened his hands, and his private rhythm sprang out in bright, racing beats. Because of that, the roots thudded, the leaves rattled, and hidden creatures answered from every branch, louder and wilder, until finally the whole banyan blazed with shared sound. At sunrise, Nico caught one last echo, but this time he let it fly: wing-flick, leaf-drip, beetle-click.
