🎨 How to color it

Color the sports car electric blue, the tire smoke pale gray, the grandstand seats sunlit silver, and the manga sound-effect letters bright red. Use sharp colored pencils for the wheel spokes, grille lines, and layered track marks, then switch to broader strokes for the car body and stands. Try a darker blue along the lower bumper and side skirt so the car feels like it is leaning hard into the drift.

Every evening after the mechanics rolled the tool carts away, Kaito stayed at the hilltop drift course to chase his own challenge: one clean smoke-ring lap around the hairpin. The track smelled like hot rubber and rain on concrete, and the empty grandstands clacked in the wind. He counted the curve markers under his breath, tapped the wheel twice, and sent his blue coupe sliding wide. Until one day, a sudden gust tore the orange pit signal from its pole and flung it across the racing line.

Because of that, Kaito had to choose: finish his best drift or dodge the flapping cloth before it wrapped under his tires. He snapped the wheel, and the car skimmed past the barrier with a hiss of gravel. Because of that wild save, his smoke trail curled higher than ever, not a ring but a roaring spiral that pointed straight to where the signal had snagged on the fence. “Got you!” he shouted over the engine.

Until finally, Kaito slid through the bend, pinned the signal beneath one tire just long enough for the crew chief to grab it, and rolled to a stop laughing. The grandstands boomed with one thunderclap, as if the empty seats had cheered. Next time you see the smoke behind his car, can you spot the spiral from Kaito’s one clean smoke-ring lap?
