🎨 How to color it

Color the panda with soft black patches and creamy white fur, make the branch warm chestnut brown, and fill the bamboo leaves with moss, jade, and pale green. Use sharp colored pencils for the narrow leaf points and bark lines, then switch to gentle side-strokes on the panda’s rounded belly and dangling leg. Try adding a dusky blue shadow under the branch so the hidden forest around the sleeping panda feels cool and secret.

The story behind this coloring page

Sora and the Quiet Knot — High above the fern floor, a silverleaf flashed like a coin in the last green light. Read the full story →

High above the fern floor, a silverleaf flashed like a coin in the last green light. Sora reached from his favorite nap branch, but it fluttered just beyond his claws, whispering tick-tick against the bamboo. He wanted it for a bedtime charm before the moon climbed. So he slid down the rough limb, nose full of bark dust, and squeezed through leaves that brushed his ears like cold fingers.

The silverleaf kept drifting ahead. Sora followed it over a crooked branch and paid for the trip with three burrs in his fur and a scratch that stung when the wind touched it. At last the leaf snagged in a dark knot where no panda looked, because everyone said old knots held only beetle shells. Sora waited. The knot clicked. Inside lay a curled strip of pale bark marked with tiny claw lines: DRINK WHERE THE ROOT HUMS.

He forgot the charm and carried the bark home under his chin. In the morning, the clan found a hidden water hollow beneath the humming root. Sora kept the silverleaf too, pressed beside the message, but he liked the waiting best. If you peek past his sleepy paws, can you find the quiet knot that clicked in the last green light?
