🎨 How to color it

Color the octopus coral pink, the curling waves turquoise and seafoam, the tiny fish golden yellow, and the shells peach and lavender. Use sharp colored pencils for the zigzags, dots, stars, and suction cups, working along one tentacle at a time so the patterns stay crisp. Try making each long tentacle fade from coral to magenta, while the bubbles stay pale blue for a bright, airy sea.

At the edge of the doodle reef, Ciro rubbed eight arms over a smooth pebble and dared himself to give away one kind thing before moonrise without anyone seeing. The water smelled of salt and crushed kelp, and tiny shells clicked like teeth in the sand. He tucked his best little patterns—stars, dots, and curly lines—inside bubbles and sent them drifting toward dark doorways, tired fish, and coral nooks.

One bubble warmed a cold crab’s cave. One made a nervous minnow’s path glow softly. Ciro kept no count, but his arms felt lighter each time. “For whoever needs it,” he whispered, and the whisper made the last bubble tremble silver.

By morning, every bubble in that reef carried a small thank-you onward, even when no one knew who had begun it. Ever since, sea bubbles rise with secret kindness inside; if you follow the round ones near Ciro’s waving arms, can you spot which gifts are still traveling?
