🎨 How to color it

Color the sun golden yellow, the crescent moon soft lavender, the puffy clouds pale blue, and the smiling stars lemon and peach. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big sun face and moon curve, then help little hands tap small dots of color into the tiny circles and sparkles. Try making the sun warm and bright while the moon side stays cool, as if morning and bedtime are sharing the same sky.

Every evening, Nola swept the cloud market after the sky-stalls closed, brushing silver crumbs into a blue tin pail. She wanted to hear a stardust chime, just once, so she sat very still while the clouds smelled like rain and sugar. Until one day, a tiny moon calf bumped her broom and sneezed, “Pip!” A sleepy crescent lantern rolled from its nose.

Because of that, the stars held their breath, and because of THAT, the sun peeked up early, round and warm, wondering why morning had gone quiet. Nola did not grab the lantern. She waited, palms tucked under her knees, while the moon calf blinked. At last, the lantern floated back into place and rang one soft ding. Next time you see the smiling sun beside the drowsy moon, can you spot where Nola waited for stardust?
