High above the quiet star nursery, a little sky-child named Lumi carried a silver hoop that hummed like a lullaby. She had set herself a small challenge: hang every star on it before the last cloud yawned. Plink, plink, went the stars as she tucked them around the rim.
But the middle stayed empty. The sun rolled in, warm as toast. The moon drifted close, cool as a smooth pebble. “Move over?” whispered the moon. The sun smiled and slid beside her, and their cheeks fit like two halves of one bedtime song.
The hoop stopped wobbling. The clouds sighed. Ever since, day and night belong together at the sky’s center, and if you peek at the smiling faces, you may spot where Lumi’s perfect wreath clicked into place.
