🎨 How to color it

Try a cobalt blue suit for the hero, a golden yellow chest star, crimson boots and cape lining, and silver-gray clouds at her feet. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny halftone dots and star points, then switch to markers for the wide cape panels and bold lightning shapes. Make the pop-art burst glow by alternating lemon yellow and hot pink behind her, so the blue suit jumps forward.

From the lip of an old radio tower, Zadie flicked three pebble-stars into the tin rain gutter: clink, clink, CLINK. Her new game was simple—make the city answer without waking it. Usually the tower only smelled like warm metal and pigeon dust, but tonight a fourth clink came back from somewhere below, bright as a wink.

Zadie stepped off her safe beam and followed the sound through steam vents, cable shadows, and one sticky patch of tar that stole the shine from her boot. At the maintenance door, she found no villain, no machine—just a shy night crew painting tiny stars on cracked safety helmets. Their leader held up a brush. “We heard your code,” she whispered. “Is it a game for everyone?”

Zadie laughed so hard the tower wires hummed. She traded her clean gloves for a paint-splattered pair and tapped a new rule on the door: three clinks meant one player, four meant bring the whole crew. By dawn, helmets, lunch pails, and even the elevator button wore secret stars. If you trace the burst around Zadie, can you spot where the fourth clink is hiding?
