🎨 How to color it

Color the stork soft white with pale gray wing tips, the roof tiles terracotta, the flower box sunny yellow, and the bundle light blue. Use broad crayon strokes on the stork’s body and roof, then switch to a sharper pencil for the tiny window panes, chimney bricks, and flower petals. Try making the plain cloud blush pink at the bottom and sky blue at the top, as if morning light is waiting there.

Every evening, when the chimneys smelled smoky and warm, Lina gathered roof scraps for her own wind-bell: a bit of ribbon, a bent spoon, three shiny buttons. She wanted it to sing above the steep red roofs. Until one day, the last button vanished into her cloth bundle with a soft plink.

Because of that, Lina flew higher, listening. Because of that, the bundle began to tinkle by itself—ting, ting, tiny as raindrops. “What are you hiding?” she whispered. At last she loosened the knot with her beak and found the button had caught around a little silver thimble nobody had thought to look for. Lina tied them together, proud and careful, and her handmade bell sang over the smoky, warm chimneys; can you spot the bundle carrying its secret song?
