🎨 How to color it

Color the daisy’s center golden yellow, the ringed circle petals in coral and peach, the striped stem spring green, and the triangular leaves teal. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny circles and leaf triangles, turning the page as you fill each wedge cleanly. Try a secret pattern by making every third petal circle lavender, so the flower hides a quiet color code.

Under the warm stone sundial, Quill lined up twelve color tokens in a neat little row. One token was missing: the lavender one needed to finish the daisy code before the courtyard bell chimed its hollow bong.

He stepped beyond the bench into the geometry courtyard, where the air smelled like chalk dust and mint leaves. Tall daisies stood like secret wheels, their circle petals stacked with rings and their leaves cut into sharp green triangles. Near the tallest stem, a silver moth waited without a flutter. Between its feet lay Quill’s lavender token, but one wing was pinned under a splinter of bark.

Quill wanted to snatch the token and run. Instead, he slid his thinnest ruler under the bark. Snap! The ruler cracked, and the moth lifted away, leaving a dust-soft shimmer on his sleeve. “You needed it more,” Quill whispered.

The bell bonged. Quill returned with no ruler, one lavender token, and a new silver mark that pointed to every third petal. If you follow those quiet circles, you may find the moth’s thank-you hiding in the daisy code.
