🎨 How to color it

Try turquoise for the curling waves, sandy beige for the little island, bright green for the palm leaves, and coral pink for the scallop shell. The big ISLA letters are perfect for chunky crayons or markers, while the shell ridges and tiny bubbles may be easier with a sharpened pencil. Add a sunset glow by coloring the sun yellow in the center and orange on each little ray.

At low tide, while the sand smelled warm and salty, Isla tucked her tiny whisper shell under her chin. She wanted to hear the sea say her name just once. Hush-hush, swish-swish, the waves only rolled closer, bumping the little sandbar where tired crabs and silver minnows hid.

Then a baby starfish slipped into a foamy swirl. Isla held her shell tight; it had been her only birthday gift from the moon snail. But nobody was watching, and the water sounded scared. “Here, sea,” she whispered, setting the shell in the smallest wave. The shell sang soft as a lullaby, and the waves curled around the sandbar instead of over it.

Ever since, the shore keeps those round, gentle letters for resting feet and small sea friends. Next time you see Isla beside the waves, can you find the shell that still whispers hush-hush?
