🎨 How to color it

Try deep indigo for the tall cone, antique gold for the many stars, emerald for the leaf shapes, and violet for the curling scrollwork on the brim. Use sharp colored pencils and work from the central flower outward so the tiny dots, nested diamonds, and narrow leaf veins stay crisp. For a subtle magical effect, blend the cone from midnight blue at the brim to smoky lavender at the tip while keeping the star shapes bright.

Every evening, Vesper set his pointed hat on the brass rail of the rain platform and stitched tired charms for strangers while trains hissed silver steam. Until one day, a loose thread tugged back from under the brim. Because of that, he found a folded star no hand had claimed; because of that, he spent its small warmth sealing every cracked amulet in the lost-and-late basket. By dawn, the star was gone, but the brim smelled faintly of cedar and lightning. No passenger thanked him, and none needed to; the rail still shone where the hat had rested.
