🎨 How to color it

Color the donut dough golden tan, the wavy frosting strawberry pink, and the six long sprinkles sky blue, lemon yellow, and grape purple. For little hands, use chunky crayons and fill the big frosting ring first, then dab each rounded sprinkle with a different color. Try making the center hole a soft cocoa brown so the pink frosting looks extra bright around it.

Soft dough went pat-pat under Hazel’s little hands. She pressed one round ring and added six sugar bars, tap, tap, tap.

Warm vanilla floated up. The frosting made a slow pink river around the middle.

Then a shiny spoon rolled close. In it, Hazel saw another round treat smiling back, all sparkle and wiggle.

“Hi, I made you!” Hazel whispered.

The spoon shone. The donut shone. Hazel’s hands shone with sugar dust. Next time you see six little sprinkles, can you count Hazel’s pat-pat hello?
