Across the warm garden, Bixby made loops in the air just to see where they went. Zip, dip, whoop! The sun felt toasty on his wings, and the path below smelled like dusty pebbles and grass.
He circled the tall daisy once, then twice, because a tiny sound kept popping out. “Hee-hee!” said something. Bixby peeked under leaves, beside stones, and behind the little flowers. Nothing but swishy stems and bee-buzzy air.
Then the daisy’s yellow middle sneezed. Out rolled six specks of pollen, wearing silly grin faces. “We were hiding in the tickliest spot!” they squeaked. Bixby laughed so hard his next loop went sideways. Look near the daisy’s round middle—you can almost hear the giggles chasing his zip, dip, whoop.
