Under the bare trees, Bram patted his chilly hollow stump and wished for one warm glow. A sweet smell of pumpkin drifted through the leaf grove, so he floated past crunchy maple leaves, whispering, “Who has a light?”
Beside a round pumpkin, a little firebug blinked from inside the carved smile. “I can spare one spark,” it said.
