🎨 How to color it

Color the ghost a soft pearl gray, the jack-o'-lantern a bright pumpkin orange, the bare trees cocoa brown, and the moon buttery yellow. Use chunky crayons or markers for the ghost and pumpkin, then let your child make simple side-to-side strokes on the big sky spaces. Add a tiny golden glow inside the pumpkin’s eyes and smile so the surprised ghost looks warmed by the light.

The story behind this coloring page

Bram Shares the Glow — Under the bare trees, Bram patted his chilly hollow stump and wished for one warm glow. Read the full story →

Under the bare trees, Bram patted his chilly hollow stump and wished for one warm glow. A sweet smell of pumpkin drifted through the leaf grove, so he floated past crunchy maple leaves, whispering, “Who has a light?”

Beside a round pumpkin, a little firebug blinked from inside the carved smile. “I can spare one spark,” it said. Bram carried the spark carefully, but the wind puffed—whoo!—and singed the edge of his sheet. Back at the stump, the glow was too big to keep hidden. Bram hung it high, and every acorn, leaf, and sleepy moth shone softly. Can you find the bright smile Bram shared under the bare trees?
