🎨 How to color it

Color the rosette succulent dusty rose, the tall aloe blue-green, the trailing bead plant fresh jade, and the three pots warm terracotta with cream bands. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny hanging leaves and zigzag pot pattern, then switch to broader strokes for the window panes and curtain folds. Try making the sunlit glass pale yellow near the sun and cooler blue behind the aloe, so the shelf feels wrapped in morning light.

The story behind this coloring page

Every afternoon, Sarai rolled the nursery cart between rows of succulents, turning each pot a finger-width toward the warmest window. The rosette liked gentle light, the tall aloe reached for heat, and the trailing plant brushed the shelf with soft green beads. Sarai kept a chalk list in her pocket and the dry, earthy smell of potting mix on her sleeves.

Until one day, a glasswing cricket landed on the window latch and made no chirp at all. Its clear wings flashed like tiny panes. Because of that, Sarai leaned closer and noticed its shadow tremble across the pots. Because of that, she saw the sun was not falling evenly; the curtain, the vine, and the cloud outside were drawing three different kinds of morning on one ledge.

So Sarai moved the rosette into the lace-soft light, nudged the aloe into the bright center, and set the trailing beads where shade cooled the rim. The cricket gave one silver click. The plants looked less arranged than arrived. If you visit that window ledge in your imagination, can you spot the place where every afternoon still turns each pot a finger-width toward home?
