🎨 How to color it

Her little brother had drawn it in silver pencil: three dots, one crooked star, and the words WAIT FOR THE QUIET. Vera wanted to prove his map marked a real shortcut to the Lantern Station, but every blinking panel said the same thing—no path, no path, no path.

Past the striped planet, the radio hissed like sand in a seashell. Vera counted breaths instead of stars. One breath. Ten. Twenty-seven. Then the cockpit went dim, and the tiny dots outside stopped scattering. They curved into the same crooked shape on the paper. “Hold still,” Vera whispered, and touched the map to the window.

The round glass caught the whole pattern at once. A pale lane opened between the stars, silent as frost.
