🎨 How to color it

Give the grinning shark a bright teal body, the rocky cave warm sandstone grays, the treasure chest golden brown, and the little fish sunny yellow. Every afternoon, Dax slipped into the treasure grotto and practiced spooky grins in the silver bubbles, hoping the cave fish would finally gasp instead of giggle. The old chest by the jars was perfect for hiding behind, and it smelled of salty wood, cold coins, and crabby dust. Until one day, the lid creaked open by itself.

Out stepped a pea-sized crab wearing a shell helmet and carrying a toothpick spear. “State your curiosity!” he squeaked. Because of that, Dax poked his nose closer. Because of THAT, the crab mistook him for the new guard and ordered him to count every fish before snack tide. Dax counted eleven, then sixteen, then—wait—why were three fish wearing fake mustaches made of seaweed?

At last Dax burst out laughing so hard that bubbles bounced off the cave roof, and the crab saluted the noise as “excellent alarm practice.” From then on, Dax guarded the chest by making faces, while the fish invented disguises.
