🎨 How to color it

Color Santa’s hat bright red, his beard snowy white, the giant bow emerald green, and the polka-dot wrapping paper candy pink. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big gift panels, saving a sharper pencil for the tiny stars and snowflake arms. Try making the box stripes red-and-white like peppermint so Santa looks extra cozy peeking over the edge.

The story behind this coloring page

The Ribbon That Remembered — Behind the wrapping shelf, Nico tucked his faded blue measuring ribbon into his mitten. Read the full story →

Behind the wrapping shelf, Nico tucked his faded blue measuring ribbon into his mitten. He wanted to find the smallest present before the bell went ding-ding-ding, because tiny gifts often slipped behind tall boxes. The ribbon had belonged to his first toy sack, and it always smelled a little like peppermint glue.

He stepped into the gift alcove, where paper rustled like mice and starlight blinked on the floor. A box with no tag gave a soft thump. Nico climbed inside, paid the price of one squished hat pom-pom, and found a note under the bow: “For whoever remembers the quiet ones.”

“Ho-ho… secret,” he whispered. He tied his ribbon around the box and left it for the night guard elf, who never got presents. If you peek at the big bow, maybe you can spot where Nico’s ribbon remembered.
