Under the warm hum of noon, Mina rolled a soft clay berry between her hands. She wanted a little red house that would not get too hot in the sun, but every roof she patted on slid off with a plop.
A bee named Bix buzzed close, carrying a crumb of wax that smelled like honey. “Try what’s inside,” he said. Mina opened it and found a tiny star-shaped leaf print. She copied it with five green leaves, pressed them together, and set them on top. The cap held firm and cool.
