🎨 How to color it

Color the strawberry bright ruby red, the leafy top fresh green, the flower petals soft pink, and the four stars sunny yellow. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big berry shape, then switch to a sharpened crayon tip for the small seeds and eye highlights. Try making the cheek ovals peachy and leave the tiny white eye circles uncolored so the smile looks extra shiny.

Every evening, Pippa tucked a smooth golden seed under her leaf cap and raced the rows before moonrise. It had been her “brave seed” since a windy day shook the vines, and she tapped it whenever the grass went swish-swish.

Until one night, the firefly lanterns blinked out over the berry patch. Because of that, the beetle mail carts bumped into stems, clack-clack! Because of that, a baby snail slid toward the puddle ditch, calling, “Help!” Pippa popped the golden seed into the mud, where it glowed like a tiny sun.

At once, fireflies zipped to the light, the carts rolled straight, and the snail curled safely beside a daisy. Nobody saw Pippa’s empty leaf cap, but the stars did. If you peek at her sparkle, can you guess where the brave seed used to hide?
