🎨 How to color it

Color the big star lemon yellow, the rainbow trail in red, orange, green, and blue, and the crescent moons soft lavender. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the wide star and long curved trail, then dot the little circles with a pencil or crayon tip. Try making the star’s cheeks peachy pink and leave tiny white shines in the eyes so the smile looks extra bright.

High above the hushy clouds, Zuzu wiggled at the start of the comet curve. The path swooped down, down, then up like a slide made of moonlight. Zuzu had watched others race it with whooshy tails, and now her own points tingled. “I’ll try the first bend,” she whispered, tasting cool night air.

She pushed off—zip! Stripes of color streamed behind her, and little stars bobbed like lanterns. Then a cloud puff went BOOM-bap-bap. Out popped a beetle no bigger than a blueberry, tapping a silver drum with two pine needles.

“I keep the beat for brave first zooms!” he called. Zuzu laughed so hard her trail bounced in rainbow ribbons. She took the next bend with the drumbeat under her, small courage going boom-bap-bap through the sky. If you follow the bright curving trail, can you hear Zuzu’s first brave beat?
