Then a hot wind rattled the panes and scattered his newest pieces with a bright clack. Because of that, he tied eucalyptus stems into pointer-arrows; because of that, the light shot faster, gold to green to silver, until even the sleepy beetles chased it. At last Vey set the final chip by hand, whiskers buzzing with pride, and the sun won his game before the bellbirds called.
