Every day, Nico polished his spyglass until it squeaked, then waved at the gulls from the warm, salty shore. He wanted a game no pirate had played before, so he shouted, “I spy something jingly!”
At once, the deck crab clicked toward a spoon. Because of that, three gulls flapped after a bucket. Because of THAT, Nico peeked again and yelled, “No, jingly and round!” The palm leaves shivered, coins rolled from a little chest, and everyone chased them in circles—clink, clink, clink.
Until finally, Nico laughed so hard his feather bobbed. “New rule,” he said. “If you guess wrong, you make a pirate noise!” Next time you spot his spyglass, can you guess the jingly thing before the crab says, “Arr-click”?
