Under the soft morning hum, Pip tucked a tiny blue button inside his cockpit and rolled toward the cloud parade. He wanted one perfect word for his blank banner before the balloons rose. The button had come from his old hangar blanket, and rubbing it made him think of warm oil, clean cotton, and bedtime engine purrs.
Past the first puffy cloud, a gust tugged the banner hard. Pip wobbled, and the button slipped out with a tap-tap-tap. He chased it through bobbing balloons until it landed on the banner, right where a word should go. “Home,” Pip whispered. He flew back slower, with the button sewn onto the banner like a dot of blue sky. Can you find where the cozy word would ride behind Pip next time?
