🎨 How to color it

Color the cat ninja warm orange, the face mask sky blue, the fish charm golden yellow, and the paw-shaped puff pale lavender. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big mask, robe, and cat head, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the fish scales and belt knot. Try making the night clouds light gray and the stars bright yellow so the tiny ninja feels extra bold.

The story behind this coloring page

Every evening, when the lantern alley smelled like soy sauce and sweet buns, Nori practiced silent steps behind the noodle carts. His wooden fish charm bumped his belt—tok, tok, tok—just like his mom’s spoon on supper bowls. He never sneaked past the dumpling stall, though. The owner’s grumpy goose slept there, and its honk could rattle roof tiles.

Until one night, a rolling prank bell bounced from a cart and clanged toward the goose. Because of that, Nori’s paws tingled inside his tiny shoes. Because of THAT, he grabbed his fish charm, puffed out a paw-print cloud, and whispered, “Shhh, bell!” The cloud tickled the bell into a flowerpot with a plink. The goose snored on. Nori stood very still, then grinned behind his mask. Next time you spot the fish at his belt, you’ll know why it went tok, tok, tok in lantern alley.
