Every evening, Pip rubbed bits of tide-glass until they winked like tiny moons. He tucked the brightest pieces beside his sleeping nook, where the water hummed hush-hush over the reef.
Until one day, a little starfish drifted down, gray as a pebble and whispering, “I can’t find my glow.” Because of that, Pip nudged his best glass piece under the starfish’s arm. Because of that, silver light spilled over the sand, and the starfish floated home without seeing who had helped.
