🎨 How to color it

Try cocoa brown for the owl’s round face, honey gold for the big eye rings, pumpkin orange for the tiny beak, and cream for the sweeping feather tufts. Use chunky crayons or broad markers inside the large circles first, and don’t worry if little hands cross the thick black lines. For a secret-night look, add pale yellow dots in the two eye shine spots and a soft blue halo around the top feathers.

Under the mint leaves, a soft “hoo?” rolled from the rain barrel. Yara hugged her warm cork nest. She wanted to say “hoo” back all by herself.

Plip, plip went the drops as she hopped out. Her toes got cold. A leaf tickled her beak. “Hoo?” Yara whispered.

Up blinked one tiny glowbug, yellow as butter. It had been practicing, too! Yara carried its little light home in her eyes. Can you find the two bright spots where the secret hoo is hiding?
